Fall Is In The Air!!

So a lot has happened since I blogged last...I know I know I'm not very good on staying on top of this blogging stuff, but I'm doing my best :)

Shots

The girls got their 2 month shots and it was as sad as everyone said it would be :( they cried like we had never heard them cry before. As sad as it was it was also a bonding experience because as soon as the nurses gave them their shots they handed them over to us and they looked at us and calmed down almost immediately...so special. It was over quickly and I don't think they experienced much soreness that day or the next :)

Church

Since the girls got their shots we are now officially "allowed" to take them to church :)

Jaxyn catching a few zzzs before mass :)

Kairyn ready to praise the Lord :)
They did wonderful in church! They slept most of the time, but seemed to enjoy the music, but not so much the clapping. Since our first trip they have become more alert and Kai wants to look around so I have come to the conclusion that we will have our hands full in church the older they get.

Trip to Gruene

A few weekends ago my mom was in town and we decided to go to Gruene to get the girls out of the house. We invited my neighbor and her little girl (who is about 7 weeks old) to join us. Of course this led to lots of stares and people asking "are they triplets?" lol. We had a great time and we cant't wait for our girls to be the best of friends.

MOPS, Chairs, and Smiles

My neighbor DeAnn talked me into attending MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) in New Braunfels. I loved the group, but I now know that I must leave the girls behind next time. The meeting was held at a church in town and we met a lot of wonderful mothers. The girls were with me and did well until it got closer and closer to feeding time. Thank goodness I had De with me. She entertained Jaxyn while I changed and tried to calm Kairyn while someone was giving a talk. We had our hands full with three infants and agreed that next time we need to get a sitter for the meeting. Lesson learned lol.
The girls are getting so big! Michael went in the attic and got down the little "bumbo looking" chairs to see if the girls were ready to work on their core and neck muscles. We sat them in it and they liked it for a little bit, until they realized that it was hard work controlling their neck and upper body. We will be working on perfecting this technique :)

Jaxyn and Kairyn have both discovered that their parents are pretty funny (more like goofy) and they smile at us all the time. Cece (my mom) was able to capture Jaxyn smiling away at Cece talking to her :) Thank God for moments like this :)

Here are some other pics...day in the life of twins...

my little Aggies (Jax)

Kai...the Aggies lost this day so I'm not sure if we will be wearing these again any time soon ;)

Fall Photo Session

I decided to play photographer while I had mom here to help. We dressed the girls up in their "1st Halloween" onesies and this is what we came up with:

This is a good idea of how their personalities are lol (Jax on left and Kai on right)

Whats going on with us?

Michael attended a conference for New York Life in Dallas for 9 days. Of course I freaked out a bit when I heard how long he was leaving us, but thank God for family and friends! My mom came up the first and second weekend and helped me out tremendously...I finally got to "sleep in" for the first time since they were born! Nini (Michael's mom) came to help on Thursday and Friday and I was so relieved  to have her here to help me while I was working. Not to mention she even cooked for us! We were able to spend some time bonding as well! Love you both and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping so much! The girls are so lucking to have ya'll!! Michael had a great time at his conference and really learned a lot about himself and met some wonderful new friends :)

I have enjoyed being a part-time stay at home mom and part-time working woman. If I haven't said it before I am very blessed to have the job flexibility (and to work for the wonderful people that I do) to stay at home with the girls in the mornings and work in the afternoons. I love being with my girls, but I also love being a therapist! So while I am not doing those things I have found a new interest in Pinterest. Its basically an online blog type thing where you can get many different ideas and organize them on "boards". They have everything form home decor to fashion. So the first thing I tried turned out pretty well.
Its a t-shirt head band!
There are so many different things I want to do and try so we'll see if I can add this into the million other things I try to keep up with in life :)

How many of you partake in fantasy football or something like that? Michael's family does a Yahoo "pick'ems" thing every football season. We have a lot of fun trying to see who can place confidence points correctly on which team. This allows for a lot of rib poking at family functions :) I enjoy it b/c it keeps me in the football loop (where I would normally be sooo far out of). I must say that I am not a bad player and have beaten my husband every year I do believe (I am sure he will correct me if I am wrong ;)
If you can't see it well its me "Rookie" at the top, winning last weeks picks :)
I have to capture these times b/c they don't happen often :)

Well, I think that's about it for now...stay tuned for more..
