3 Months Later......................Merry Christmas!!

We are back!!! After a long break (if you want to call if that) I am back at it! I have so many excuses but really its the same as everyone else..."not enough hours in the day".

So since I have shared last we have had two holidays....lets start with one of my favorites!

Halloween!!

This was the first year that the girls could really go trick or treating and we had soooo much fun!! They road in a wagon since we realized real quick that walking up to doors would take us all night. The girls were so cute the way they looked at everyone and couldn't believe that they would just hand out little pieces of hand size "toys". They did not get to eat any of their treasures this year (I know we are mean) but were perfectly happy just holding the candy. Kai was the pig and Jax the cow :)

Before Halloween my sister and I thought it would be funny/cute to do a little photo shoot with all three babies and here is how that turned out:

Babies are so much fun!! We had a blast watching their reactions!

First craft with the girls :)

Amongst our other Halloween activities we always have our friends Andy and Arielle over to watch scary movies. This year Arielle and I carved pumpkins and it took sooo long and was so much work, but they turned out beautifully!

Speaking of these two friends of ours...They just recently got engaged in New York when Andy took her to see the lighting of the tree in Rockefeller center....yeah pretty magical and great! Good job Andy!! Congrats you two!! Love you both!!

Plus one more?!?!?

For about a month I watched a friend's little baby girl (Sawyer) in the mornings and my sitter watched all three in the afternoon. My friend (Casey) was having difficulty getting her into daycare before she went back to work so of course I didn't have anything to do in the mornings but watch my two angels so I was happy to help. Many people gasp and told me I was crazy to do this but I always like a good challenge and helping others of course...The extra income wasn't bad either. It was fun to have a "baby baby" in the house again and I got a chance to brush up on my scheduling skills (This is one of my excuses I didn't have a blog for October ;). The girls were so cute with her. Kai called her "baba" (baby) and Jax was always keeping her eye on her.

Sawyer's bodyguard ...Jax
They thought it was very interesting how she would just let her paci sit like that on her chest ;)

Gig'em Aggies!! Whoop!!

This year has been a great year to be an A&M fan!! The first year for the Aggies to be in the SEC has been very successful and we were fortunate enough to attend some games!

All of us with Dad and Babs at the La Tech game

tailgating sisters
He has fun too :)

Look who we found! Aunt Rhonda is a La Tech Alum so we of course needed an Alum pic! It was a great game, long, but great!!

Mom even got to attend a game this year!! Thanks Dad!!

Jaxyn loves her Aggie gear courtesy of Grandma Lou and Grandpa Alan!!
Of course I have to mention that A&M's quarterback Johnny Manziel won the Heisman trophy!! Well done Aggies!!

Ranch life....

Kendl's mom and dad (Tina and Kevin) have a ranch in Edna, TX. We get invited to join them for the weekend from time to time. We all love going out there. It is so peaceful and takes us away from our busy lives. A big thank you to Tina and Kevin for always having us and making us feel like part of the family. We are blessed to know ya'll!! Here are some pictures from hanging out at the ranch.

dirt is so fun until the pup takes away the toy...did I say it was peaceful? ;)

Kai..The girls love the deck over looking the pond

Kendl also took family pictures this last time we went visited, such a beautiful back drop!

Thank you Kendl for your talent!! Maybe next time we will have more than 45 mins and the girls will understand picture taking ;) They turned out wonderful, Thank you!!

Wurstfest!!

The first two weekends in November are dedicated to a salute to sausage and beer! Yes we live in a German town and love every second of it especially when November rolls around!! My company (the best company ever) has a happy hour every year at Wurstfest so we make a point to attend that night at least. Here is a little taste of the salute to sausage and beer:

The bosses :) love them!

Oh yeah that's one of our priests and hes holding a chocolate covered pickle...yuck!

Hill's Annual Chili Cook- Off

Every year my dad and step-mom have a chili cook-off at their home in Fort Worth. This year there was also a desert contest. Michael and I have yet to participate in any of the cooking (we blame the girls) but Michael and I do get to do the judging (not this year for me...not sure how that happened, but oh well). It was so great to see everyone and share in the fun!

Reidy poo staying warm and watching mom and dad cook

Oh no Jamie, Not again! Russell and Jamie won the toilet bowl for the 2nd year in a row :( the weird part is they have always used the same recipe with which they won 2nd place the first time they used it...hmmmm

After all the chili cook off festivities were over it was time to head home. Heading home meant we would gain a child this time ;) Jamie was off halve a week for Thanksgiving and didn't want him in daycare if he could spend a few days with his favorite Aunt, Uncle, and cousins so we met in Waco and picked Reid up to come spend a few days with us!!

We maxed out the back seat

We had so much fun with Reid visiting, but we wont say that a third baby is a good idea right now ;)

I'm his favorite

All three sitting still...that's what I call a miracle

Haha this was a sight..I managed to take all three on a walk with Reid in a baby bajourn ...people in my neighborhood knew for sure I had lost my mind
We introduced him to dolls too

So so much fun!! Thanks Jamie and Russell for trusting us with your baby angel boy!

In Other News....

Kendl and Brian are having a BOY!!! She found out in October and they are thrilled! His name will be Grey Andrew Leatherwood. I am supper excited for them but do feel a little sorry for Mr. Grey already...he will be surrounded by nothing but girls...Amber (Kendl's sister) is having another girl!! Blessings all around!

Our cousins, Lisa and Josh had another little girl, Abigail in October....Ava is a big sister!! They are blessed with two beauitful girls...Josh is a lucky man!

Ashley (our old sitter) also found out what they are having. They had a gender reveal party, which is really popular right now. A friend of theirs made a cake with the cake color determining the sex (pink if it was a girl or blue if boy). So cute!

So they are having a GIRL and couldnt be happier!! We still miss her very much :( fingers crossed she will come back after having the baby!

Hannah and Andy (our neighbors and and De's sister) found out on Halloween by opening up a box filled with balloons that they are having a GIRL as well!!
One co-worker of mine is having a girl and my supervisor is having a boy.....babies, babies, and more babies...love it!!

So I got a wild hair awhile back and decided to get a tattoo honoring my girls. De and a friend of hers wanted to get tattoos so I tagged along...I decided I wanted one and I'm so glad I did because I love it and I love where it is.
De got "Paisley" in pink on her finger...it hurt if you can't tell

(the inside of my right foot) mine hurt too!

 Thanksgiving!!

We spent Thanksgiving with the Motls in Bellville, TX at Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Joe's house. Again, it was wonderful to see everyone and the weather was nice too so we got to hang out outside a lot. We also decided to do a gobbleoff (I got the idea from the one and only Bobby Bones Show...a radio show out of Austin that I'm a little obsessed with). It was so much fun and so hilarious! I think we started a new tradition...enjoy!

Thanks for sharing your pictures father in law :) The day after Thanksgiving we had a little get together at my mom's...Love family time during the holidays...we feel especially blessed when we can make memories with everyone!!

What are the girls up to?

Oh man where to begin? They are growing like weeds and so are their personalities! So much has happened since my last blog...they are into everything they can touch. Jaxyn is our climber so if she can get her knee on something she will climb it.

They are saying words like crazy...especially Kairyn. I love this thirst for knowledge they seem to have. They want you to label everything and then they try to say it too! They love to say the words that involve our daily routine like diaper, bib, out, night night, and lots more. My favorite is that Kai has started to say "Jax" and actually calls her at times. Jaxyn just started saying "Amen" at the end of our prayer before we eat...love!!

Don't get me wrong it is not all peaches and cream over here, they have also started to fight and they are driving me crazy!! Kai has picked up the slack in the bullying department and wants whatever her sister has and vise versa. This involves pushing, hitting, and stealing. I tell people all the time that I love and hate this age. One minute I am counting my blessing b/c they are such angels and the next its the end of the world...tears, head to the ground, screaming.

That being said this age is hard! They are starting to do more themselves so that part is easier, but the bi-polarness in public or in church makes for a "never know what you are going to get" experience which I am not use to and do not like (the schedule person in me wants to always know whats going to happen). Michael and I have started time-outs slowly but surely. Right now they go into time out for getting into the plants (yes they still do this from time to time :/)...soon they will start going into time out for being mean to each other. They will not stay away from each other though, its like they need to be touching at all times but don't want to be touched ughh ...Here is a little example at lunch time:

Bath time and being outside is their favorite! They love exploring and splashing around (also the "nos" dont come as frequent in these two situations)

Jax on the big bench...which she climbed by herself

They also love to be chased! Every night after dinner they want to play the chase game...very fun for all involoved!

Even with all of the craziness that brews they are amazing to watch and we are lucky and blessed to call them ours!! Here are some extra pics and video (because there aren't enough in this blog ;)

She did it!

They have also found a love for Elmo recently ....why does every kid love him? Is it the red, big eyes, or squeaky voice?

Motl tree 2012

Merry Christmas 2012!!

YAY!! Its Christmas time and we have already been able to share in some family time for Christmas this past weekend!! We had Christmas with Michael's mom, sister, aunt, niece and our nephew, Noah...it was a nice relaxing night filled with lots of love! The next night we had Christmas at my Meme's. We got to see everyone on my dad's side and that always ends up being a late night since we don't get to be in the same place at the same time very much...loved every second!

Jax tearing into her gifts

Kai.....I'm thinking we will be seeing lots of this in the next few days!

The girls sat on Santa's lap for the first time....

Jax is the one crying...this was great! hopefully next year Jaxyn will be a bit less terrified
too cute not to show off...our nephew and God son Reid!

We also attended my company Christmas party at the beginning of the month...It was a ton of fun as usual and many thanks to Cindy (Motl) who watched the girls so we could enjoy our night out!
we clean up nicely ;)

We had a scare last week when Max (our yorkie) went missing over night....We were so upset not knowing what could have happened to him and what he would do in less than 29 degree weather. Well we received a Christmas blessing a little early and was notified the next day that two boys found him about 3 streets over. This sums up how we all felt to have our family member back home:

Since I am posting this blog so close to Christmas I'll take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family who actually take the time to read and enjoy these blogs! We love you all and hope you have blessed 2013!!

And don't forget the reason for the season!!

This was taken at sights and sounds of Christmas in San Marcos...they have an entire section devoted to Bethlehem and the story of Jesus' bith!! God bless!!

Love always,
