2 Girls Turning 2 Months Old!!

Today my angels are 2 months old!! can you believe it? Seems like yesterday I was in the hospital (thank goodness it wasn't). The girls are getting bigger and are becoming more aware of everything. Its really neat watching them looking at things on their play mat and looking at books we show them and best of all looking at our faces :) They still sleep often but are definitely awake a lot too. We have moved them to a 3.5 hour schedule which means they eat every 3.5 hours vs. every 3 so they are required to stay awake a little longer in between feedings and naps, so far so good. They are also starting to coo and make cute little noises and smile more when we talk to them. Michael and I find ourselves laughing at them often :)

lol they were getting a bit frustrated with me

On Thursday the girls will be going to the doctor to get their two month shots :/ Mom and dad are not looking forward to this. However, we are looking forward to being able to take them places now :) We did break down and take them to Olive Garden last weekend and they were wonderful! We got lots of stares and whispers as we walked through the crowded restaurant (don't worry no one touched them or breathed on them).

As you can tell from my picture with Kai I decided to go brunette for the winter. I have ALWAYS been blonde and decided I needed a change. Some say my hormones are responsible, but I just think I needed something different. Why not? And I like it (mainly b/c its different). I will most assuredly be returning to blonde in the summer though.

Halloween!!
Some of you may not know this about me, but I LOVE Halloween ( as I sing.. H- A- double L-O - W double E -N spells Halloween!!). So our house got hit with Halloween about a week ago and we are still working on outdoor decorations (don't worry I will post pictures with the girls and our decor). We will have scarecrows with hay bails and pumpkins along with a pumpkin cemetery for outside this year. Yay! I am soooo excited!! Of course the girls will have costumes so this is what we have in mind:

We haven't purchased these yet so we'll see. We may find something better before the big day. If you have any ideas please feel free to share them with me :)

Visit to Nini's
It was Michael's mom's birthday (Cindy/Nini) so we loaded up and went to Round Rock to spend the day with family and help celebrate Cindy's birthday! We had such a good time with three babies under the same roof. Yes, I said three. Christina (Michael's sister) has a 3 month old baby boy named Noah. We loved spending the day with all of them (and being thankful we didn't have triplets ;)

Baptism

The girls will be getting baptized into the Catholic faith on November 5th at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic church in New Braunfels. We have asked our best friends Kendl and Brian Leatherwood to be their Godparents and they accepted the role of helping the girls along their journey with Christ :) We are so excited to bring the girls into the Catholic faith and to teach them all about God and his love for us and we know that Kendl and Brian will enhance this experience throughout their lives. Thank you Kendl and Brian for taking on this role! We love ya'll very much!!

That is all for now! Much love!

Newborn Pictures and First Time Experiences!

Photo Shoot

The girls had their first photo shoot by KGoebel Photography! They did so good and the pictures turned out awesome! Thanks again Krista!!

First Traveling Experience

We also all traveled together for the first time to Cece's house (Natalie's mom). The Deputy (Michael's car for those of you that aren't familiar) was dying a slow death and we knew we needed another vehicle quickly. Bobby is friends with a guy that owns a dealership so we loaded up and headed down to Cat Spring.

Believe it or not we didn't forget anything for the girls and they traveled well :) They were a little off on their schedule from being in a different place (Its so weird how they already sense things like that) but were able to adjust well after a couple of days. The weather was beautiful so the girls got to go outside a lot and experience the country, horse and cows and all ;) During our stay there more friends and family came to the see the girls :) I remembered to take a few pictures but forgot at other times so I'm so sorry if I left you out.

 More on The Babes

Kai and Jax continue to do well on mom's strict schedule and are even sleeping longer at night :)
Love their ruffled butts <3
We have gotten down to only one feeding needed at night around 4 which my wonderful husband does :) They still have some gas issues but not as much reflux. They still make grunting noises which makes me think they are a little uncomfortable probably due to gas. We will go over all of this at their next appointment this month.
We have also decided to separate them when they sleep :( unfortunately they were kicking around and waking the other up so we decided in order for them to sleep better that they needed their space.
Today our nanny, Megan who will be watching the girls part time when I return to work will be visiting to learn the ropes. We will  have her babysit a few times before starting on the 21st so she gets more comfortable with them and the schedule. Speaking of babysitting, we have found another wonderful person to watch the girls. A friend of ours, (and our pediatrician's daughter) Hannah took time out of her schedule two Sundays ago to come watch our angels while Michael and I could go to a wedding. She has a lot of experience and also Nannied for twins from birth to 3 :-0 needless to say she was great and we didn't worry one bit while we were gone.

New Vehicle!!

Sooo in case you were dying to know, we did purchase a new vehicle and love it!! The back is covered so that will be where all of our baby stuff goes when we travel and Colt rides on the floor board in the back seat with the girls because there is a lot of room. This is so much easier and safer for us so we are extremely happy and blessed!

2010 Ford F150 :)
The girls and Colt love it too!

 Football Season!

Football season is here and since this Aggie is the only one doing the blog lately I will say Gig'em Aggies and the girls can't wait to wear their A&M onesies from Heather :) and more to come I hear from grandpa Danny and grandma Barbara :)

Until next time, Love you all!!
